The Road to Achievement - How to Make Vision Boards

Vision boards are the leading tool for maintaining motivation and achieving personal goals. This new-age miracle will transform your life, enabling you to focus on taking action and fulfilling your wildest dreams. There are several steps that are necessary to make a vision board whether you are creating one that is either physical or digital. These steps are the following:
Setting Specific, Measureable, Achievable, Realistic, and Timely (SMART) Goals
Before spending time searching for images or pictures from magazines, the first step in making a vision board is to set some goals. These SMART goals should be measurable and include timelines to ensure accountability. For instance, if one is desiring to save money for a purchase such as a car, then the first step would be to set some goals towards savings and budgeting on a weekly and daily basis. The biggest question would also be: How long would one realistically need to save for the type of car in which he or she desires? Once that question has been answered, then he or she can begin formulating the rest of the SMART goal towards that specific desire.
Gathering Images or Pictures
This is the fun part! Step two requires that individuals collect their images and pictures so that they can use it later to create their vision board. It's important to monitor the time as individuals tend to spend great deals of time trying to determine which images would work. This is where individuals should revisit the goals that will guide them during creating their vision boards.
Adding Images or Pictures
The third step is where individuals will either physically cut, copy, and paste them on their physical vision board or save and upload to their digital board. Either way, they are able to use their creativity to bring their dreams to life.
Practicing Visualization on a Daily Basis
The last step is to practice visualizing having those things that they truly desire. This can be done in a prayer meditation or other form of mindfulness. It's something that should be at least once a day or several times day. Whatever strikes your fancy!
The bottom line is that a vision board is the pathway to getting exactly what your heart desires. So, what are you waiting for-Manifest Your Dreams.

Mood Boosters to Try When You Are Feeling Down

Sadness is a natural emotion that, believe it or not, can help you over time. But that doesn’t exactly help in the meantime.
When you are feeling down, the only thing you want to do is feel better. And though that’s sometimes easier said than done, we’ve compiled some of our favorite mood-lifting tips to help you overcome your bad day.
Keep reading for more!

Get Introspective

To overcome your feelings, you’ll first need to understand why you feel the way you do. It’s time to put on your social scientist hat and take an objective look at your emotions.
Start by asking yourself what, specifically, you’re feeling. What does ‘feeling down’ mean in this respect?
Are you sad? Feeling lost and stuck? Maybe you’re feeling angry or slighted.
Once you’ve identified the emotion in question, take a step back and think about what changes could improve the situation. What would get you loving life again?
Next, it’s time to act. Think about what’s in your control and what you can do to improve your emotional well-being.

Spend Time Around Animals

There’s evidence to suggest that we need our favorite four-legged friends every bit as much as they need us. Pets provide companionship, motivation, socialization, and can relieve stress.
If you don’t have a pet, don’t worry, your local shelter is always looking for volunteers. You can still get all the benefits of spending time with an animal while also making a difference in your community.

Take a Walk

Sometimes, the best way to get rid of your stress and sadness is to get up and get moving. Exercise releases endorphins, which are a key chemical in regulating feelings like joy and excitement.
Snag your phone, some headphones, a comfy pair of shoes, and get to walking. By the time you’re done, we promise you’ll feel a bit better.

Start a Gratitude Journal

Admittedly, it isn’t always easy to focus on the positive when you’re having a rough day. But sometimes, the best thing you can do for yourself when everything’s going wrong is to look at what’s going right.
Take a deep breath, grab some paper, your favorite beverage, and find a quiet place to relax for a few moments.
Once you’re settled, think about all the things in life you’re thankful for and write them down. You don’t even have to write in full sentences — bullet points are just as good.
Research shows that practicing gratitude on a regular basis can positively impact on mood, as it’s a cathartic experience. A few minutes of thankfulness could turn into a whole day of positivity!

How to Lift Yourself Up…Even When You Are Feeling Down

When you are feeling down, it can sometimes feel as though things won’t ever improve. But don’t worry, brighter days are just around the corner. Give these suggestions a shot and let us know what works for you.

Keys To Understand Success

There has not been a single educational conference that I had attended during my college days that did not have at least one student stand up and ask, "How do you define success?". The answers have been varied according to the presenters' own life experiences. Most of us tend to define success as per some societal norms that have been decided ages ago by our forefathers, but do these definitions really help? Let us see some of the ways in which we really learn to understand how to define success.
Experience
Although this might seem a little out there, anyone who is of age would definitely have had multiple experiences in life that are a combination of misery, pain, suffering, joy, satisfaction, and acceptance. It is important to start learning early in life what these experiences might mean later in life. For example, if a student continues to get insufficient grades in a particular subject, it is important to realize that this subject might be of little value when moving on to bigger things in life. Identifying the do's and don'ts from early experiences can help create a focused mind driven towards genuine success.
Sharing
This one is a given. There can be no doubt of the fact that sharing from an early age can substantially help in creating an open and broader mind. What one person thinks of her accomplishments might or might not be mirrored in another's. Through sharing, one might run into someone who shares an equal passion of caring for the destitute, for example, or someone who doesn't, might get genuinely impressed and influenced by such kind of passion. Sharing also helps a person identify what they do not want to be, thus being able to increase focus, and become more goal-oriented.
Your niche
Through a continuous analysis of the experiences in life and the knowledge gained in the manner of sharing, it becomes easier to find one's niche, and constructing a smoother path via that niche to the ultimate goal. This ultimate goal, then, defines the individual success. It is easy to reprimand people running after money by saying "that is not success", but the truth is, it might be the primary definition for success for some people. Other people may define success as being a learned person, being high up the corporate ladder, being conventionally sound, being a proud parent, travelling the world, so on and so forth. All of these are fine definitions of success as long as they do not hurt anyone or anything. Carving a niche for yourself is as much as getting your own things on track as acknowledging and appreciating another person's track.
The importance of respect, understanding, love, and honesty, in the end, cannot be undermined no matter what your definition of success turns out to be.

THE MINDSET OF A CHAMPION - Arnold Schwarzenegger (Motivational Video)

How To Get From Where You Are, to Where You Want to Be "Think, Think, Think"

Do you realize how powerful your thoughts are? Do you recognize the fact that your thoughts pre-pave the way to all that you do? In essence, your thoughts are like a magic wand that you wave over any situation. Whether it's your golf swing, your competitive edge in business, your romantic life or your ability to stay calm under stress, you already have the magic wand!
To unlock your power to transform your current situation, you must raise your awareness of your thoughts. Often, your thoughts are on auto-pilot. On auto-pilot, the wand is wreaking havoc, rather than making magic. Is your inner voice comparing you to others? Are you wondering if they are better than you? Thinner? Happier? When your thoughts are centered on comparison, you begin a downward spiral. What you focus upon, grows. POW! Magic! Where you put your attention nurtures the outcomes you experience.
The good news is, you can shift from using your wand for the "unwanted" to making magic happen. To break the habit of ruminating upon unwanted experiences, you must have the intention of noticing your own thoughts, and examining if your thoughts are pointing you in your desired direction. For example, thoughts of fear are comprised of the anticipation of future pain. Thoughts of guilt, are the playback of unwanted past experiences. Can you imagine a light bulb with a pull chain? Just like the one in your attic? Imagine your mind is your precious, personal attic and shine the light of awareness upon your thoughts. All it takes is intention.
When you are aware of your thoughts, the magic happens as you shift toward thinking of what you want- like success, intimacy or peace. The manifestation of your desires is preceded by your thoughts. Magnify your thoughts by feeling what it is like to have your desire. Your feelings contribute to the activation of your thoughts. Before you know it, thinking and feeling with awareness will usher you to your desired destination.
You know the outcome you want. Obstacles are in the way. Namely, fear. Ready for the work you love, peaceful parenting, vibrant health, happy relationships? Contact Carla for your Breakthrough Session: carla@getcoached.com

IT'S POSSIBLE - Powerful Motivational Speech 2019

Out Of The Woods

Who is perfect? That is a silly rhetorical question, because at times, God or whatever rules the universe does not even seem to be perfect the way this world can seem to anyone unconscious or fully conscious about what is really going on. However, this is the way out of the woods of confusion: Get competent at living and be genuinely detail oriented and careful about what you experience in reality. Oh, that seems simple, indeed, is it easy to practice? As we can tell by everything that goes "not to plan" in reality, it is not an easy thing at all.
Every life wants to scream "action now!" or "give up!" at different times in its evolution and reality, but, like the game life genuinely is, life must be played to the best of the ability of the person playing it and a "cool head" and even temper must be kept even in the worst or best circumstances. That means, when things get bad you must take a balanced and rational approach to keep on an even keel even when things get at their worst. Even when things are great you cannot get carried away on a "lucky streak" or full of yourself like nothing else wrong can happen.
That last sentence in the last paragraph makes me think of the Kevin Hart car accident in the Malibu Hills, you can have all the "great luck" and "blessings" in the world, but if you do not have an even temper and realistic attitude about them, having it made can go wrong in the worst way that is corrupted by carelessness upon yourself. On the other hand, even in the worst situations, there can be a way out if you are patient, understanding, tolerant, creative and intelligent: I look at the singer in the Los Angeles subway system, Emily Zamourka on the other hand to the example of Kevin Hart I just mentioned. Through her creativity and inner strength, I understand that she is ultimately going to help herself out of a bad situation as homelessness, and "being down on luck" is. I get it, whether good or bad, for things to work, and to get through the woods, you must have a cautious, logical, realistic and even temper that is conducive to successfully navigating life in a good, rational and successful way ultimately, or end up "failing like the rest who do not make it" by thinking things are easy, and that the game does not take skill, work, or a householders attitude. What I mean by a householders attitude is a realistic work ethic, cautiously guarding your advantages, and best of all thinking realistically and deeply always, taking nothing for granted. After all, the key to all anger management is simply a rational approach to all situations that sees both sides of a problem objectively anyway. Ultimate subjectivity is irrational anger. Sure, I believe in right and wrong, and there are times to get angry, but also I understand that everything must be looked at realistically to be valid, anger or "normal" good temperament. So, finally I look at it this way, genuine success is perfection, genuine failure is the ultimate imperfection through our attitudes, perceptions and understanding about reality.

I am a philosophical writer and objective thinker and honest action taker. I also work at a senior center in Gardena, California as my day job, among other things, but primarily I am a writer.

How To Be Confident In Any Situation? (Body Language Secrets) - Marisa Peer

10 Habits to Get Things Done

In today's busy world, with the holidays approaching, how do you get more done? It is a topic that continues to be pressing in our active world today. Here are a few classic tips that save time but are not always standard in people's habits.
1. Appointment setting - Often people go back and forth with long text or email conversations to schedule appointments. Create a free Google calendar for yourself on YouCanBookMe.com so people can pick and schedule a time. If your schedule is not able to be standardized, at least shorten the correspondence by suggesting three times vs. messaging back and forth. It is amazing how many messages it can take to get one appointment unless one communicator puts forth multiple options to expedite finding a time.
2. Measure your results; maximize your time - When doing things, many of us would love to take all the time in the world to make it "perfect". The problem is "perfect" is not only hard to achieve but is usually not "cost-effective". This doesn't mean you have to ditch excellence, but it does mean you have to understand what is 80% Optimum.
Recently at a conference, a speaker suggested a concept called "Get-mo" short for "Get More". It is similar to the philosophy of Optimum. It is looking at the task at hand, the time you have and finding creative solutions to achieve the outcome. It is the epitome of maximizing time. Understand what is a "reasonable" amount of time to do a task or project or "time available" and then find a way to accomplish the results in that limited scope of time. Period. Much time is wasted or absorbed in tasks that take way too long, which then results in mistakes, rework, parts that now need different solutions, plus new emergencies that cut in line because a task is taking way too long.
3. Have Daily Routines. Many routines we have are invisible to us. Think about how many things you do in the AM when you wake up. Most people have it down to a little routine that they go through pretty "mindlessly". If you are intentional to take a few more tasks that you have on a regular basis and bundle those into AM Habits and PM Habits your mind will count them as "one" task (vs the number of tasks that are bundled into that routine). When you do them in the same order each day and do the routine consistently, the task will move from conscious awareness and effort to the subconscious ability to execute. This means you will be able to do it quickly while your brain is able to hold or prepare for other things.
4. Stop multi-tasking & focus on one thing and finish. The more stressed we get, the more common it is to leave things half done. We start something and then are distracted or jump to another task, often associated with what we were doing, but by the end of the day, we can feel frustrated that lots were touched but nothing was done. The key to getting traction is to FINISH. You have to pick one task; then be disciplined and keep yourself focused to the FINISH. It is important the task is a specific action vs a project, however, if you outline the "step" that needs to be done, focus there and get it done.
5. Be organized. Have systems for your things and label them. My friend who is a Professional Organizer taught me this years ago. She even had me label sections of my bulletin board! It helps to keep things organized and find or process things. When you get a new contact, enter it in your phone, get the right information and enter it with your "contact naming configuration". Some people will leave numbers unlisted and then be searching for that person later when they have the information but didn't "enter" it. If you do these things when you first get them, you will find great time savings. When you send emails, use the subject line. It will help for searching, sorting and finding later. When you have files, have a "file system" so you can file things in the right place. It is easy to save everything to your desktop or C: drive, but then difficult to find. If you have a system with your key folders set up and then have that same system in email, soft folders, and paper folders, you will find your mind is able to organize and conform to the system quickly.
6. Start with the end in mind - know the goal and what you are trying to accomplish. Like was said in point 4, know what you are really trying to accomplish. Sometimes we start projects or tasks, only to get stuck with needing more information, supplies, another part to be done, etc. This often results in partially done projects sitting. This not only takes up space and mental energy but it is emotionally distracting to have partially finished projects. Whenever possible know what the "end" is and work to finish the task to the end.
7. Have a list and a plan. Some people believe they have a great memory and don't like to write things down. Sometimes we feel too busy to stop and make a list. Other times people are just not "list makers". The thing is, making a list is helpful for your brain. It clears the different thoughts floating around and allows the organization of those thoughts and priorities. It doesn't matter what "type" of person you are or not, the brain works more efficiently when you are able to download thoughts and tasks, organize priorities on a list and get going.
8. Get to the point. Small talk and connecting relationally is important, however, time is often wasted by being unprepared for what the goal is and the purpose of the time. In meetings (even a 1-1) have an agenda, have an identified goal and focus on that, set a time limit, stand up for meetings, have a note taker, highlight actions. Time is valuable for everyone and most people appreciate it when you respect their time and keep things on track.
9. Declutter. While some people feel that "stuff" is not a problem or is an "organized mess", the truth is humans work faster with a clear desk and organized space. You can find things faster, loose things less and are more focused. There was a study done years ago that studied people at their desk with it cluttered vs decluttered and even those who loved and wanted to keep a cluttered desk, were proven to work faster and more efficiently without the clutter. Take time daily to clear your desk. Take time nightly to "clean sweep" and pick up your home. Clear and clean your car, bag, whatever you use on a regular basis. It will make a difference.
10. Wake up early. First things first. What is most important should be done the first thing of the day. That is why the "Eat that Frog" is a great concept and "Miracle Morning" is a critical productivity tool. It gets your mind focused and all the "critically important" but not urgent items done. I will confess, I am NOT a morning person and it is not always easy for me to nail this, but it is true when you do these things (affirmations, mediations, work out, learning/reading, journaling, etc.) it gets you off on the right foot AND ensures that you do them. You can drag them along on your to-do list for the day and sometimes hitting these items at lunch, end of workday or PM is possible and a better time, but the truth is what you want to MAKE SURE you do, do it at the top of the day!
There might be items you do already and some you do not think you could do, but find and pick ONE that you can put into practice to support your efforts to get more done in your life!
