If Only You Believe - Why It Matters

Human nature may be defined by two groups, those whose focus is on the probabilities in life and those who dare to focus on the possibilities. The possibility group is always focused on what can be possible while the probability group denies the existence of anything they cannot see, touch or test. For many in the latter group extraordinary events, even miracles are often pooh poohed and mocked. Impossible, they say! And for them it may be.
Our planet has recently entered the outer bands of multi-dimensional energy. The possibility believers will notice the changes first. Things that others called impossible begin to manifest before their eyes! Information and events they have longed for and dreamed of can soon become reality as cures to difficult diseases seem to appear in totally unexpected ways. Information will arrive to those who are seeking answers even though they may not recognize the source, they simply know this may work; and it will. Aging will be dramatically slowed, not by fancy products but by people who learn to move into this new energy. Life spans will be lengthened while the quality of life is greatly enhanced. The physician within will be heard and acknowledged. All these possibilities are likely to be deemed as nonsense, impossible even, by those probability believers. Why does it matter what you believe?
Look carefully at events that have transpired in your own life. Look closely at events that happened to others, events that caused you to search deeply for how it could have happened. Those are the times you were confronted by the differences in what you believe. Colonel Sanders is a great example. This senior citizen may have been the only believer in possibilities, yet he persevered forward to become a household name. The same is true of Mary Kay, a host of artists, authors and even world leaders. Their legacy is defined by what they were willing to believe; they became a part of the rich history of world events. Imagine how different history would have been written if not for these possibility believers!
What is the real difference in these two groups? Probability believers are severely limited to what they can achieve or become in life. Everyone's opportunities in life are limited to what they can accept as reality, now or in the future. Those who rebuff possibilities are limited to what they already know, what they already believe is possible. Their focus does not extend beyond 'practicality' unless they are forced to seek a miracle. This often happens in doctors' offices and hospitals where the unthinkable has arrived on their horizon and crashed into their lives. No one knows anything that can help a desperate situation and suddenly, they look beyond the probabilities which are unacceptable.
People who are creative and in touch with harmony and the energy around them are the strongest examples of possibility believers and they affect our lives. They are always on a quest for something new; a new design, a new idea, a new way forward. They can become strong problem solvers because they routinely look beyond the obvious. Benjamin Franklin, Albert Einstein and Thomas Edison are among the more famous of those who affected our world because they dared to believe in what might be possible.
If you are willing to remove the self-imposed limits on what might be possible, dispose of the idea that others may find you frivolous or uninformed, you will be poised to take a leap of faith directly into energy that is more magical than we ever dared believe! Obstacles can easily be disposed of while solutions arrive unexpectedly. Miracle shall follow miracle and wonders shall never cease, if only you can believe.

A Key To Success Is Your Passion And Purpose In Life - Your True Free Will Lived

Do you have goals and objectives, and I also mean do you have a strong focus in life, or are you consumed by lacking thoughts?
Have you invested a great deal of effort, cash, and time to achieve financial freedom and yet feel you haven't made it?
For all your effort do you still feel that there is something missing in your life? I mean it is certainly crucial to set objectives in your life.
When faced with a number of options, it provides you a focus a way forward a mechanism for making choices. It can also be a jail cell.
How can having clear-cut objectives goals while having fun and focus be a prison cell, is what I'm asking you to consider?
The Course in Miracles shows us that it becomes a prison cell when you produce goals based upon your regretful past experiences, perhaps where you recall failures too hard to handle.
Simply put, then you set the future on the past.
When all the time you are stuck within the border of your previous regrets and fear of the future, it creates the illusion that you are moving forward in life.
It's like driving your life vehicle on the path to success by searching in the rear view mirror all the time.
You have a fantastic vision of exactly what took place in the past, however haven't a hint about what is coming in front of you.
The point is: whatever took place in the past is not a true indication of your full potential.
As the late Wayne Dyer mentioned, "To pull your own strings and grow, you need to be both ready and willing to let your future and present be opposite your past. Your regret of the past is not your destiny."
If you continue to do exactly what you have constantly done then you can only anticipate getting the life of what you've constantly gotten, simply put.
The unfavorable in your mind or on exactly what is missing out on in your life you have no option but to focus and produce limited goals if you continuously focus on the past.
You are back in that prison cell once again and you need to break the cycle, so how do you do it?
You change your thinking, which means a chance to create the life you want is the meaning of success and to learn to develop and then pave the road ahead.
An opportunity to create a focus and objectives that you desire to attain, means answering to, where are you now, and where you want to go, and the being committed to taking action.
- Where are you in life?
- Explain your present scenario.
- What are your top priorities in life?
- Do you like where your life is going?
- Where do you wish to go?
Exactly what is the true meaning of success to you can be answered to the question of, 'when you are on your death-bed recalling your life' exactly what would you want to think your life was about?
Check out these concerns deeply and often until you feel you actually understand where you are now and where you wish to go.
How you arrive will end up being obvious as you advance, and without rushing, because time is on your side no matter what age you are.
Keep focused within, on your true inner essence, and think of you as opening a savings account or investment portfolio of the self, so to speak.
The more time you put in, the more credit and appreciation of your equities and bonds appear on the account and therefore in time the more is offered for withdrawal.
Now the crucial question:
Previously I discussed the many law of manifestation tools available today in the form of free e-books and so much more on the web that can be quite helpful for living your true free will.
So, exactly what holds you back?
What stops you from choosing exactly what you wish to accomplish in your life?
It is not enough simply to create a focus and a plan, and you must comprehend where you are now and where you want to go.
To change something you have to DO SOMETHING NOW!
Put your focus into action, because it's your focus and you have thought it, designed it and built it, now have the desire, enthusiasm and objective to execute it.
Since, at the minute, you have no evidence of what is going to happen, and the only evidence you have is in the past.
To regret the past and fear the future is only keeping you confined to your own self-made prison cell.
There is something miracle-minded about this process called life.
If you look back over your life you will discover, like many others have, that most of the time you set out to do something you didn't have the ability prior, but you started anyhow.
All you must muster up is self-discipline, enthusiasm and guts, and being aligned to your true free will while in this world.
To give yourself a better than typical opportunity for attaining the meaning of success, each night before you go to sleep use these words I've borrowed from the Course in Miracles in prayer or meditation:
If I lose or forget my goal in life let me remember what my purpose is.
Have the nerve to drive towards your goals and objectives, the passion and purpose with strong enthusiasm to keep going and the discipline to create a new practice even when it is difficult.
Keep focused and keep moving forward in life.
On a regular basis ask yourself, what did I do today to bring me closer to achieving my goals and objectives and my focus in life?
Begin right now in this instant to walk free of that self-made jail cell, because the door swings easily open.
(I suggest searching the web for further material on how to empower oneself with the power of manifestation material available today.)

The Road to Achievement - How to Make Vision Boards

Vision boards are the leading tool for maintaining motivation and achieving personal goals. This new-age miracle will transform your life, enabling you to focus on taking action and fulfilling your wildest dreams. There are several steps that are necessary to make a vision board whether you are creating one that is either physical or digital. These steps are the following:
Setting Specific, Measureable, Achievable, Realistic, and Timely (SMART) Goals
Before spending time searching for images or pictures from magazines, the first step in making a vision board is to set some goals. These SMART goals should be measurable and include timelines to ensure accountability. For instance, if one is desiring to save money for a purchase such as a car, then the first step would be to set some goals towards savings and budgeting on a weekly and daily basis. The biggest question would also be: How long would one realistically need to save for the type of car in which he or she desires? Once that question has been answered, then he or she can begin formulating the rest of the SMART goal towards that specific desire.
Gathering Images or Pictures
This is the fun part! Step two requires that individuals collect their images and pictures so that they can use it later to create their vision board. It's important to monitor the time as individuals tend to spend great deals of time trying to determine which images would work. This is where individuals should revisit the goals that will guide them during creating their vision boards.
Adding Images or Pictures
The third step is where individuals will either physically cut, copy, and paste them on their physical vision board or save and upload to their digital board. Either way, they are able to use their creativity to bring their dreams to life.
Practicing Visualization on a Daily Basis
The last step is to practice visualizing having those things that they truly desire. This can be done in a prayer meditation or other form of mindfulness. It's something that should be at least once a day or several times day. Whatever strikes your fancy!
The bottom line is that a vision board is the pathway to getting exactly what your heart desires. So, what are you waiting for-Manifest Your Dreams.

What's Perfect About This?

I can tell you it didn't immediately feel wonderful when my internet went down. Again! After I'd already had three service techs come out in one week [including one appointment that lasted more than 3 hours], each one assuring me I would have no more issues. It didn't immediately feel wonderful. In fact, my stomach was in knots and I felt awful.
But the thing is I can't stand to feel awful anymore. It's just not OK anymore.
So I did what I coach my clients to do - Step back and ask: "What's perfect about this?"
Determined to feel better, I breathed, chanted and sincerely asked "What IS perfect about this situation I do not like?" In addition to sweet relief, I got these answers:
*I can practice Feeling Good No Matter What.
This is the muscle I most want to strengthen. I want to be the kind of Conscious Creator who can notice something unwanted and immediately DECIDE to be OK. Feeling good inside is SO much more important to me than external conditions.
*I can remember I am never required to feel bad.
There is NO situation that requires me to sit in prolonged suffering. The first thing to remember when something unwanted happens is that I have a choice in how to respond. I am the decision maker for my life and I get to choose!
*I can practice rising above unwanted circumstances.
It feels good to take my power back and shift my focus. It feels good to know I have the ability to raise my vibration and feel good regardless of conditions.
*I can appreciate what I DO have and what IS working well.
Appreciation is always helpful in climbing back up the emotional scale.
*I can remember that feeling good is the most important thing.
My desire to feel good is the reason I want the reliable internet service or any other condition anyway.
I get it. Sometimes expecting ourselves to find something perfect in truly dire circumstances is a stretch. At those times, a softer question such as, "What wonderful thing will come of this?" might be easier. We can all remember unwanted situations that turned into something truly valuable.
Another good question to ask and answer is, "How can I feel good even under these conditions?" [A takeaway from my first Abraham-Hicks workshop, May 2005 in Asheville, NC.]
What's perfect about this?
What wonderful thing will come of this?
How can I feel good even under these conditions?
These questions enable me to quickly find my way back to feeling good no matter what.
Everything that happens is a gift bearing the opportunity for higher levels of joy and empowerment within. I accept that I simply can't expand without real world opportunities in which to practice.
Each time I choose to feel good no matter what, I raise my dominant vibration - which makes it quicker and easier to find my way back when contrast brings its next gift.
Each time I choose to protect my vibration as my most precious treasure, life becomes more fun and more joyful.
As Abraham reminds us: "If you had one goal, and that was to feel good, you would never again need to hear another word from anyone. You would live successfully and happily and in a way of fulfilling your life's purpose ever after."

5 Self Improvement Tips for Personal Power, Peak Performance and Prosperity

I believe that, ultimately, we all want peace and fulfillment more than anything else.
Of course, there are other things we want. And truth is, we must actualize some of these other things if we are to attain deep and lasting peace.
Of course, fulfillment itself comes primarily, if not exclusively, from actualizing our other needs, such as the need for growth, contribution, stimulation and mattering.
All of these things mean we must master our mindset - our beliefs, habitual thoughts and expectations. We must be committed to personal development. Only if we are developing personally will our lives develop materially.
Here are five tips to create greater peace, motivation and mindset mastery.
1. Accept only self-compassion and positive self-talk.
This is a tough one. Most of us engage in self-flagellation, to one degree or another. This emanates from our belief-set; our mindset.
Make an active and habitual practice to seek out and compliment yourself on your skills, virtues and wins.
Habitually recognize, praise and congratulate yourself, as you would a child you love.
Seriously. Make a conscious, active and habitual practice of this. You will be amazed at how this practice alone will massively change your habitual mindset, feelings and emotions. Increasing your state of being, motivation, joy and fulfillment.
At the end of each day, make a list of three to five things you did well. Also add one thing you will do better next time. Always keep the ratio skewed at least 3 to 1 towards the positive.
2. Never compare yourself to others.
We all have our own path, our own brain, mind and personality. Another's path has no bearing whatsoever on our validity, ability or journey - other than in the empowering lessons we can take from their lives.
Learn from others, but don't ever compare yourself to others.
Use lessons from others for personal development and success. But never compare yourself to another.
Believe in yourself. Be aware of and grateful for your strengths, while determined to constantly grow and improve.
3. Accept, even celebrate, that life will absolutely have disappointments and pain. They are the fuel to self improvement.
We all want to grow. To figure things out. And to matter. We all want to create and experience personal success.
Success equals change. Positive change. Growth.
If WE aren't growing and developing, our lives cannot grow and develop.
When do we grow most? Heck, for most of us, most of the time, when do we grow at all?
When we experience obstacles, disappointments and pain. When we hit setbacks, which fuel motivation and determination to change and make things better. And only when we change for the better do our results change for the better.
Hack your mind to revel in obstacles, disappointments and, yes, even pain. Know that they are not permanent. Nor are they an indication of any lack on your part. See and feel them and beautiful opportunities to take advantage of and accelerate personal development. They bring us closer to being the person and success for which we are destined.
4. There is no failure, but in failing to begin or failing to continue.
I passionately believe this to be true. Whatever our outcomes, we only fail in not trying or giving up.
Stay true to your ultimate purpose, mission and vision and adjust your strategies and tactics as wisdom dictates.
Changing direction isn't necessarily failure or negative. Don't give up on your dream, but do stay true to your soul. If you are truly meant for a path other than the current one you placed yourself on, accept that and move passionately onto the new path.
Be generous, loving, kind and compassionate with yourself. Have and hold yourself to high standards, but with loving compassion and optimism that you will capitalize on and prevail in all circumstances. Treat yourself with the love, patience and compassion a wise altruistic elder would treat the beautiful soul of a child.
5. Love yourself. Believe you are perfect. But that you will become more perfect each day and that the journey is never over.
Keep this self-image. Constantly love, support, praise and humor yourself as you would the child or friend you most love or as you would be loved and supported by a loving, more seasoned and wiser person who would love you.
But also keep the thirst for personal development and success burning within. We are all works in process. Perfect as we are today, but driven to an even higher level of perfection today and tomorrow.
There you have it. Five habitual practices that will help bring you all you are after: Love, peace, prosperity, growth, stimulation and, probably, anything else your soul desires.
Cheers friends.
What do you want more of? Money? Career growth? Fulfillment?
As they say: "to get something we've never had, we must do something we've never done."
There is definite science & art to prosperity & success.

The Price of Hard Work

Everybody wants to be famous, but nobody wants to do the task without realizing that the price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand.
The road to success is not easy to navigate, but with drive and passion, it's possible. It is the real key to success. Keep your eyes on your goal and keep taking the next step towards achieving it. If you aren't sure which way to do something, do it both ways and see which works better.
Enjoy your sweat because it doesn't guarantee success, but without it you don't have a chance. I do not believe in excuses. I believe that it is the primary solution to life's problems. We all naturally want to become successful. It opens opportunities and shows the world that you are serious about being one of those peculiar human beings who use their talents at optimum level and do their very best. However, the moment we believe that success is determined by an a deep-seated level of ability as opposed to resilience, we will be vulnerable in the face of adversity.
Opportunities are usually disguised as hard work, so most people don't recognize them. Most of the time you will fail, but you will also occasionally succeed. Those occasional successes make it worthwhile. In a lot of ways, success is much harder than we thought it would be.You'd get there and then everything would be happily ever after. But, it's almost harder once you're successful because you've got to maintain it.
Writing is work. It takes a lot of contemplation, concentration, and sweat. People are charmed with the idea that somehow writing is easy and appears by benefit of some mystical external force. In reality, to be a writer, you have to sit down and write. It's work, and often it's hard work.
I would rather have one article a day of this sort; and these ten or twenty lines might readily represent a whole day's hard work in the way of concentrated, intense thinking and revision rather than sit and do nothing productive.
It's shown and proved that working hard pays off. So,build your goals, achieve them and replace them with new goals. Even if there were moments when we were disappointed and frustrated.
This talks about how our hardwork pays off. Difficult but possible.

Do You Know How Much Is Enough?

I'm sure we've all been to events of one kind or another where immediately the buffet is served one group of people jump up and start filling their plates to the brim, without any thought or consideration for niceties, other guests, or restraint.
In those situations there's a reasonable chance that if we don't quickly follow we'll be left hungry, as they'll often revisit several times to restock. The concept of 'enough' or 'too much' doesn't appear to enter their thoughts.
Then there are those people who always say 'yes' to whatever is asked of them, whether it be requests from work or to attend to the needs of family or friends. They never say 'no', are always available and yet are often tired, stressed out, and left with little time for themselves. It may be their personal preference as they thrive on being busy, would despair if they had time on their hands; but how much is enough to ask of someone?
Should we be psychic and intuitively pick up on the limits of another person's capacity to cope, or instead let good manners prevail, where we put ourselves in their shoes, assume when they're doing too much and second-guess their motivation? Giving money, time and effort to others can be an unremitting commitment, but if the person doing the giving says 'yes' why shouldn't we take them at their word? After all, they're an adult, it's their choice to say yes. It's their responsibility to vocalise what they want or need.
It may be, in fact, that they're genuinely happy to be involved and love being constantly on the go. Busyness may be a life-saver for them. Our insightfulness may be all well and good, but none of us can truly appreciate the workings of someone else's life or mind, or know when they're reaching their limits.
They may revel in being valuable and useful, define themselves through their service to others. Granted, they may have issues that need to be dealt with at some point, past experiences and insecurities that colour their confidence and outlook on life, but being busy can provide a buffer to life, giving time and distance for healing and readjustment. It can be a valuable alternative to seeing a therapist or doctor.
Boundaries are an important way of introducing two-way respect and pre-determining how much is enough. Both sides understand and appreciate that give and take should alternate, not be all one-way. There can be times in a relationship when one person wants or needs additional support, and that may be fine and offered with love. Family, financial, work, or health situations may be draining or stressful for them and support can be essential in order for them to continue managing and coping.
At another time the situation may reverse and it then becomes important to alternate the role of supporter, to reciprocate and give time, attention, advice, love or input where needed. There may not be a balance sheet which reconciles each person's contribution, but at the end of the day give and take often work out evenly distributed.
As a therapist, working in a caring profession means being aware of not over-stepping the mark and being pristine about boundaries. It's important to demonstrate care, interest and support, often through active listening and tailoring each piece of therapeutic work to be the most beneficial for each client session.
We must also recognise that our role is to provide a framework for the client to address their own particular issues, whilst refraining from becoming overly involved. No one can fully appreciate the layers that have contributed to each person's experience, how their different challenges have affected them, how emotionally invested they are in their situation. It's for them to discover what they need to work through to be able to move on from where they're at. That's why a therapist or adviser's role is to step back and encourage answers to questions like, 'what needs to happen for you to move forward from this?'
Answering 'how much is enough' is paying attention to how we personally feel, how much we're giving and taking, being aware of others but also checking that we're continuing to feel good about our input. Just as with the buffet, it's important to recognise that we don't exist in isolation. There are ongoing people and situations around us. No one is an island and just because some people don't push to the front of the queue doesn't necessarily mean that they're not hungry or in need of sustenance too.
Yes, it's their responsibility to take care of themselves and ask for what they want but being less self-absorbed and a little more alert to other peoples' presence allows everyone to have enough and enjoy their share of what's available.

Why Do I Feel So Stuck In Life?

Life happens to all of us! We look up and so much time has gone by and we realize that "this is not what I planned for my life". "This is definitely not where I thought I would be at this point in my life!" Disappointment will often set in and then discouragement and distractions begin to cause us to feel as though we are stuck in our current stage of life as we appear to have lost sight of our dreams and goals. This is one of the statements posted on most of our marketing materials and website. It is from a conversation that took place a few years ago with someone that shared their heart with us as they attempted to make sense of their life.
Well, I hope that I can help you as you are trying to understand why you are where you are currently. I can assure you that it is never too late to make a course correction in your life; it may not appear to be easy and I am not promising that it will be easy but, it will certainly be worth the effort. Shall we begin?
Why Do I Feel So Stuck In Life? Where Did The Bread Crumbs Go?
For some of us our life seemed to be so clear; we were going to graduate from high school, go to college and land that dream job! Some of us planned on having the "American Dream" in the sense that, we would graduate from college, have a higher than average paying job, buy that dream house that you always wanted and have your three point five kids and a dog, cat, maybe a goldfish or a bird even; I don't know but you had a plan is the point.
For some; your dream was centered on becoming that independent person that lived by their own rules as they blazed through life living the kind of life that others would envy. Then there are those who were going to change the world! Fix those things that you saw as broken; you were going to be the change agent for social injustice; you were going to fix what you saw as a broken education system, or bring accountability to government-local, state or federal. You planned on revolutionizing the entertainment, sports, arts, medical, and literary fields.
So, here we are. When we turn around and look back at our lives we can't help but wonder "where did the time go?" We often evaluate our lives based on where we are currently and where we wanted to be at this stage of our lives. But we had a plan! We had this thing all figured out, what happened? What happen to me? This is not how I imagined my life would be. And then disappointment begins to set in followed by discouragement as we survey our life choices and start to feel stuck as we realize that we lost sight of our dreams and goals. There are a few of us who may feel like they gave up on their dreams or compromised their dreams for lesser endeavors.
Resentment soon creeps in and we are invited to play the "Blame Game" which can be a very nasty and destructive game. That blame game is a hot mess! When we reach this point in our lives; we can't figure out what happened to our well thought out plan? We begin to have these internal conversations that tend to excuse our lack of perceived success and focus on how other people have failed to help us succeed. Those internal conversations can be very condemning and cause us to take on a defeated perspective-meaning that we (you and I) are the problem due to some undetermined defect in the deepest core of who we are. Some of us even wrote our plan out and for those "A-type" people; you may have included charts and graphs. Keep reading, there is a light at the end of the tunnel and it is not a train.
Why Do I Feel So Stuck In Life? What has happened To Me?
Like I stated at the beginning of this post; "life happens to us all." So, now we are at a place where some of us have started to have regrets. Many people who reach this stage in the process have resigned to just sticking with what they are doing now because it is too late start something new. They have come to the conclusion that it is too late to chase after their lost dreams, "dreams are for kids" they often think as they continue to live in quiet desperation hoping things will change.
I was told a very powerful and thought provoking story earlier this year as I volunteered to help with a 5k run to help raise money to provide clean, drinkable water for a Massai tribe in Narok, Kenya. I was told from a very reliable source that the people of that particular village have developed a way of thinking that is a direct result of the poor quality of water in their area.
Whenever a baby is born it is not given a name; they will not waste a name on the child until they are absolutely positive that the baby will live. In that village, when a person is given a family name, that name is permanent- that means that when that person dies, no one can say that name anymore. So, they will not waste a name until they know that life will continue.
Many of you are a lot like that African village. You have seen how so many of your dreams and plans start out good only to fail. Maybe you have experienced that not one single thing that you have attempted to do ever made it off the ground. Some have had their dreams shot down, tore down, and stomped into oblivion as soon as you worked up the courage to share it with someone. There are others who experienced unimaginable and unspeakable things done to them. Survivors of domestic abuse, there are people who have overcome substance abuse or seemingly debilitating injuries and illnesses.
You do not dare to dream again, that is the last thing on your mind right now. You are just trying to find some sense of normalcy. You dare not waste a name on anymore dreams; you will not give it a name because you cannot bear to see one more thing fail in your life! But, even as you are reading this you can feel something stirring deep inside of you. You can try to ignore it, you can try to push that feeling down into the recesses of your inner being but, it keeps struggling to break out. It is almost as if it is screaming at the top of its lungs to be acknowledged!
We make attempts to retrace our steps eager to find the exact moment when things went wrong. We hope that somehow we can pinpoint that exact instant and by some means reset our lives and everything will be okay. It doesn't work like that unfortunately; but there are some things that we can do that have the ability to change the trajectory of our lives.
Why Do I Feel So Stuck In Life? Change Can Come.
In my line of work you can find so many examples of what is commonly referred to as stages of change models. These models simply chart the various processes or stages one takes when making changes in their lives. This is a widely used tool when dealing with addictions. As we go through this process at a brisk pace, I hope that you can begin to see that there's still time and opportunities to see your dreams come to fruition.
  1. This is when you're not thinking about making changes in your life. This is where impairment has taken place for whatever reason and you have rejected the notion of even needing to change things in your life. Not a good place to be in.
  2. This is the place where most of you reading this are right now at this moment. You're tired of being in that place of impairment or hurt; you're serious about the need for you to start making some positive changes in your life.
  3. Now you're at the place in our life when you want to get the heck outta your rut, so you start looking for strategies and people to help you to leave your place of hurt, that place of being stuck (impairment).
  4. Yeah baby! This is the place where you start to implement those things that are necessary to bring about desired changes in your life and you begin to experience movement. You are no longer stuck!
  5. Hey! Now we're moving on up like "George and Wheezy! This is where you are achieving most of the goals that you have set and doing so with very little assistance. You have left your place of impairment and you're looking good!
Now, there's something that is very important to that I need you to remember; there's another stage that some don't address and I get why but, I feel that you need to read what I'm about to write. There will be times when you may find yourself back at the place of impairment. Do not panic, stop all negative internal conversations and go straight back to using the strategies that you have learned to becoming unstuck and examine how you lost focus so that you're aware of that particular pitfall if and when it shows up again. I am a firm believer in the idea that you can use failure as a tool, a learning opportunity if you view failure appropriately.
Failure, even if you are the reason for your perceived failure can become a teachable moment if you look at the situation properly. When you choose to view failure as a learning opportunity, you are actually continuing your process of change which in turn keeps you from feeling like you're stuck. I hope this helps you in your journey towards becoming unstuck.
Disappointment, discouragement and distractions can cause us to become stuck in life as we lose sight of our dreams and goals. For more information, please visit http://dreamagainrestorativeprograms.org/

Mood Boosters to Try When You Are Feeling Down

Sadness is a natural emotion that, believe it or not, can help you over time. But that doesn’t exactly help in the meantime.
When you are feeling down, the only thing you want to do is feel better. And though that’s sometimes easier said than done, we’ve compiled some of our favorite mood-lifting tips to help you overcome your bad day.
Keep reading for more!

Get Introspective

To overcome your feelings, you’ll first need to understand why you feel the way you do. It’s time to put on your social scientist hat and take an objective look at your emotions.
Start by asking yourself what, specifically, you’re feeling. What does ‘feeling down’ mean in this respect?
Are you sad? Feeling lost and stuck? Maybe you’re feeling angry or slighted.
Once you’ve identified the emotion in question, take a step back and think about what changes could improve the situation. What would get you loving life again?
Next, it’s time to act. Think about what’s in your control and what you can do to improve your emotional well-being.

Spend Time Around Animals

There’s evidence to suggest that we need our favorite four-legged friends every bit as much as they need us. Pets provide companionship, motivation, socialization, and can relieve stress.
If you don’t have a pet, don’t worry, your local shelter is always looking for volunteers. You can still get all the benefits of spending time with an animal while also making a difference in your community.

Take a Walk

Sometimes, the best way to get rid of your stress and sadness is to get up and get moving. Exercise releases endorphins, which are a key chemical in regulating feelings like joy and excitement.
Snag your phone, some headphones, a comfy pair of shoes, and get to walking. By the time you’re done, we promise you’ll feel a bit better.

Start a Gratitude Journal

Admittedly, it isn’t always easy to focus on the positive when you’re having a rough day. But sometimes, the best thing you can do for yourself when everything’s going wrong is to look at what’s going right.
Take a deep breath, grab some paper, your favorite beverage, and find a quiet place to relax for a few moments.
Once you’re settled, think about all the things in life you’re thankful for and write them down. You don’t even have to write in full sentences — bullet points are just as good.
Research shows that practicing gratitude on a regular basis can positively impact on mood, as it’s a cathartic experience. A few minutes of thankfulness could turn into a whole day of positivity!

How to Lift Yourself Up…Even When You Are Feeling Down

When you are feeling down, it can sometimes feel as though things won’t ever improve. But don’t worry, brighter days are just around the corner. Give these suggestions a shot and let us know what works for you.

You Are Always at Choice - No Matter What It Looks Like

Over the years I've had more and I've had less.
I've had extreme highs and deep lows. Along with many ups, downs, bends, twists and turns. My life often felt as if I was on a large roller coaster in the middle of an amusement park wondering when this crazy ride would ever end.
As if someone else was in charge of the off button and that someone was not me. All was a blur as I was tossed about, out of control, dizzy, scared, and anxious.
Of all the rides in this amusement park called life, had I really picked this one?
Hadn't I always been afraid of roller coasters? Couldn't I have picked another safer ride?
So, what was I doing on this one? And, how would I get off?
Life is made up of many choices!
Some made consciously, and some not. Yet, as I look back on my life here on planet Earth, I see where many choices that I made brought me to my life as it is today.
It reminds me of the year I turned ten, my parents decided to pack up our lives in Wisconsin and move to California. Almost everything was sold, including our home in West Allis, leaving only a few items that were shipped via the mail to my paternal grandmother.
Left behind was my best friend, my bedroom on the second floor tucked away from the rest of the house, and the big, sprawling backyard with the huge weeping willow tree and the much used swing that I could soar high in the air - confident and assured.
Overnight, all that changed. Only a long, tedious car ride across the U.S. loomed ahead with endless stretches of blacktop and windy roads to endure.
The sight-seeing that my parents so loved, I did not. The hours spent in the car, were endless and too close for my much needed personal space and comfort.
I felt a sense of dread with all the unknown that stretched ahead.
If only I had known back then what took me until much later in life to comprehend. That I was an introvert and what I experienced and felt were the common emotions and reactions of an introvert.
Something that I thought was a fatal flaw in my personality. A flaw that often left me feeling ashamed and distraught.
Over the years I would wonder what was wrong with me? Why did I not jump in with glee and enjoy the experience? What made me hold back, withdraw, and be unsure?
Like the huge, rickety roller coaster on the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk that everyone was so excited to ride, even my much younger brother who hopped right on with no fear - but not me.
So many emotions battled within me.
Wasn't it scary enough to be in a state in which I did not feel I belonged? Made fun of in school for my mode of dress, my tall lanky body, and my Wisconsin accent. And, now, it seems, I am expected to get on that monstrosity and call it fun?
NO THANK YOU!
This is how life unfolded for me. The hesitation to dive in. The long moments of assessment before I would participate. The cautiousness that always came before the enthusiasm or acceptance of what lay before me.
I would stand on the sidelines and watch. I would assess the safety of the environment, person, place, or thing before I would enter. Did I wish to make the effort to join in or would I just let it flow past without me?
What I have learned over my lifetime is that we all have choices and we come to decide which ones are a yes and which ones are a no for ourselves. No one else can successfully make those choices for us.
No one can assure us it is safe, fun, or what we are meant to experience, No one can say which is the right path, course of action, and which is not, except ourselves.
Life takes us on many rides. Some scary. Some enjoyable. Some we swear we never signed up for.
Yet, in every instance we are at choice.
Not always at choice whether to move or not, as with my 10-year old self. But, how we perceive it. How we remember it. How it will mold and form us.
For me, I have come to embrace and accept that aspect of me which hesitates, steps back, and assesses before I jump in. I know this is the way I "play" in life. Have I ever hesitated too long? Indeed, I have. And yet, even in this, the outcome was what I was meant to experience.
I look back on the journey my parents took us upon when we left everything we knew behind. What it took for them to give up the life they knew, for the one they did not. It took tremendous bravery and courage.
They forged ahead with the determination to make our lives better.
No matter what it looked like to others. They made a choice and off we went to a new land of opportunity, healthy living, and a lifestyle dramatically different than the one we left behind.
Taking along this introvert, often kicking and screaming, yet it is a journey I do not regret.
Your money-life does thrive in clear, open, tidy spaces. Yet, do you find you don't have any of those?
Maybe it's time for you to step back and assess the situation -- determine how you can free up space? After all, don't you deserve to have a lush, green money-life? No need to fret about money and no need to spend it needlessly on stuff that you do not use.
Don't know how to do that?
Going it alone can be scary.
It begins with simply asking for help.
So, Let's talk

Life Is Too Short To Care About What Other People Say

We cannot please everyone. So, why do we care? Let's live life to the fullest and have fun. At lease we give them something to talk about.
Reality check: It's not possible to meet up to everyone's expectations. There will always be people who will judge us no matter what we say or do, or how we treat them. It's inherent to human nature. In fact, we often worry what others think about us but it won't help us move on with life. It will just upset us and hinder our vision to see things in a clearer perspective.
Sometimes, we tend to settle on the status quo. We have a tendency to flip life just because of the things we do to please others, not as a result of what we believe. Eventually our actions become wrought by how we expect others to understand us. We cannot stop people from judging us but we can do something to lessen its impact on us.
Think about the worst factor that might presumably happen once somebody is judging you of what you are doing. I guarantee that nothing can happen. We may react for that matter but nobody really cares.
Start standing up for what you think in-causes, opinions, anything. you are going to possess those that ail you anyways, therefore why not specific however you really feel? I've learned that it's better to be cherished by a couple of folks you care regarding, than to be liked by everybody. These are family, friends, who love you for who you are, and also the folks that are going to be there for you throughout your worst times.
Worrying an excessive amount of concerning what others suppose will become a self-fulfilling prophecy, as a result of the means we predict starts to become the means we tend to behave. These people become people-pleasers and excessively accommodating to others, thinking it'll stop them from being judged. In fact, the public don't love push-overs and are turned off by it. The behavior we tend to use in an endeavor to please others will truly cause the opposing result. This implies that if you are a push-over, then you are going to be attracting others in your life WHO are also push-overs.
We tend to begin thinking that this is often the norm and that we stay comfy which is often not an area you wish to be. First and foremost, you wish to understand what is vital to you in life, what you actually worth, and what you are ultimately aiming for. Once you recognize who you actually are and what matters to you, what others think about you becomes nothing.
Stop saying YES to everything. Instead, learn to say NO and straighten your values.
Surround yourself with those who are self-assured and live life without comprising their core values.
