Message From the Universe: Reading Into People's Mind!

Actually, it's not as if your angels can just drop everything they're doing and come running whenever you call for assistance, guidance, and love.
You pretty much are everything they're doing.
Before you even ask,
The Universe"
Your energy comes from within you and everyone feels it. This is what we call energy signature, everyone in the world has it. When you meet someone new, the one most important thing that attracts you to that person is their energy signature. Now, let's not kid ourselves. This energy signature is composed of many different features that one person possess, which can be both physical and spiritual. When you are attracted to someone, well, besides their physical appearance, you have somewhat of a connection that you wouldn't have with anyone else. You are drawn to that perfect for a reason you may not be able to explain, well, besides how amazing they look. Beware though as physical appearance may change through time as you grow mentally and spiritually. Nevertheless, that person's energy is unique and you want to get to know that individual in a more profound way. Once accomplished, it is crucial to always keep your energy signature in sync with each other as time may pull you apart. If, for example, you decide to take meditation and grow spiritually, your perception of the world around you will change, where the same world to your significant other is stagnant. Your views about life might create conflict in the long term, and disagreements will arise accordingly. This is the beginning of the end.
This is a very common trend among many couples who grow apart because one of the party decides to change their way of living, where the other decides to stay the same. It is important to always discuss these major life changes, especially in the realm of spirituality. Not everyone may see the way you do, which can create somewhat of a disconnect among everyone involved. Other areas where you can break ties with your significant other is when one decide to stop drinking, using drugs or decide to get on a diet while the other sticks with the same old routine. The encouragement factor is not present and one may decide to leave the other person because of this toxic environment. Relationships break apart for a myriad of reasons and I can go on discussing about them for pages and pages at a time. The key is to remember that when dealing with another person, especially with the person you love the most, is to understand what they need to make them happy. Work on making yourself a better person so they can get inspired to doing the same. Take initiative in that regard. Do not wait for them to ask for things to change. I know it can be hard to read their mind, but just give it a try. It may not be as difficult as you may think.

A Growth Mindset

How many people have a memory seared into their brains of one particular mistake made in school or on the job that was simply so mortifying that they never, ever, ever made that same mistake again? In other words, they learned the hard way but they really learned that lesson. For life.
I was listening to an interview last week with Reshma Saujani, founder of Girls Who Code, in which she was discussing her inspiration for starting the non-profit organization. In short, she was galvanized by the disparity she saw between the way girls and boys were taught to approach risk and potential failure throughout childhood and adolescence. She saw girls being encouraged to strive for perfection, therefore making them less likely to seek out new challenges or activities at which they might fail. She felt that coding, an endeavor that could easily be described as a never-ending series of tweaks, mini-failures, and fixes, was not only a valuable way to "re-train" this failure avoidance in young girls, but also an important step in closing the gender gap in the technology field.
This got me thinking about mistake-driven learning and the importance of having the freedom to safely fail in education. In his recent article, 7 Benefits of Mistake-driven Learning, Christopher Pappas advocates for its advantages in reinforcing critical thinking and problem-solving skills, higher-level learning capacity, and the key role that trial & error + solution reformulation plays in boosting knowledge retention and comprehension. He makes the case that creating an eLearning environment where students are safe to explore consequences to their actions, and then revise their approach based on individual outcomes, is crucial to preparing them for success in the real world.
In another write-up, the same author talks even more specifically about the benefits of applying Repair Theory, which explains the fundamental role of mistakes in procedure-based learning, to the eLearning design process. By implementing realistic simulations, branching scenarios, and real-time, personalized feedback for eLearners, it is possible to create a learning environment in which students are not only safe to fail and learn from their mistakes, but one that also provides contextual layers upon which the learner is able to apply new their knowledge.
One of my recent projects involved the development of online scenario-based case studies for students in health sciences programs. Talk about a field in which rote memorization of processes and procedures will just not cut it! For students in these programs, a thorough understanding built upon a scaffolding of contextual knowledge and interconnected concepts is critical. And so the instructional design of these online cases must create an ecosystem in which the students can immerse themselves in scenarios, use critical thinking skills to make interlinked decisions, and learn from their own mistakes in a safe online environment.
The idea that we learn most effectively from real experience and from our mistakes is applicable in education and in business because it is so deeply rooted in human behavior. No one wants to make mistakes and we all (at some point) shy away from the possibility of failure. But how much better would we be if we could let go of that limiting fear, allow ourselves to be brave enough to try new things and test uncharted waters, in order to then fail fast and become better?
Never Stop Learning.

The Giver and The Taker

The topic is not only intriguing but also interesting too. Both the giver and taker are sincere and truthful within the sanctity of their existential parameters. What counts is the effect of both persons' action and reaction in their dispositions and relationship with others. It could be business, societal and cultural dealings affecting individually and collectively. The giver is more concerned about others and their success. He keeps his own interest secondary and becomes extrovert in establishing a lasting friendship. Whereas, the taker adopts clarity of his mind and implements the plans which suit his main criteria. He prefers challenges and fresh inputs from close associates with whom he is in partnership.
Analyzing the modus operandi of both the giver and the taker it becomes crystal clear that the former's efforts will yield dividends in the long run. Nonetheless, the taker reaps his booty rather quickly. A word of caution for taker; it is unsafe in the long run and also the fruits may not be as per his expectation. Well, it is not the rule of thumb, even though it has its own sanctity within the meaning and concept. It also gets influenced by the environments and changing scenario yet again in a limited sense. This is the drawback when returns, in any form from any disposition, are linked to short-term benefits and profits.
A common concept, in general, is to exert caution and do not reveal your trade and practices secrets publicly. How far this is true is arguable and not substantiated, broadly speaking. However, a cautionary approach is always welcome to avoid confusion among the less informed workforce. The mindset of a giver wholeheartedly wants to share his experience with others. He transforms knowledge down the line to naïve workforce thereby giving birth to new openings in many meaningful ventures. These trivial yet powerful units flourish and benefits are shared among the workforce, in a broader sense. He earns a goodwill among the top hierarchy besides gaining confidence and a lasting relationship with the work force.
Ruminating over these two simple words, "Giver and Taker," we may take detours and look into the aspect of charity. Although it is quite relevant to this topic, yet it is independent of its application. It is said that you impart when you do not sustain; you give fistful and get bucketful in return. It reminded me when as a child while I was in school; I memorized a saying, "Charity for all, malice towards none." A very profound saying which will certainly catapult your ideas and streamline in a direction of being human and humility.
The important leaf you take out of a philosophy of giver and taker is their concept, clarity of mind and judicious execution. At the outset, the concept is common for the two persons in its first stages. It then takes a detour after when clarity of mind gets refocused by external influence. This the point where execution is impacted by good or bad depending on the situation and motive and intentions of concerned people.
On the contrary, when the giver executes his plans with the clarity of mind concept, then he remained steadfast and walk along the path of the well-being of others. Both the persons and their modus operandi reveal the results; it heavily leans in favor of the giver. He not only succeeds in achieving positive results in his favor but also laurels and respect from the one who is helped by him. In most of the situations, the taker meets the end in a distasteful and disrespectful manner. If often leads to criminal proceedings and end in the disaster.

Hit A Wall

Not again. I can't believe this is happening to me. Am I ever going to catch a break? I can't trust anyone.
Sometimes you just hit a wall. Other times you are making a choice to be a victim. It is your mindset that causes the murky waters. Yes, there will be times when life isn't fair. And I never wish to minimize anyone's suffering. But we need to ask ourselves if we are causing self imposed suffering? I think we all are guilty of this at some point in our lives. But so many have the "Not Again" attitude that is draining not only them, but everyone else around them.
I see this all too often in my practice. A new client comes in and tells me all the terrible things that are happening to them. I go into support mode and begin to line up some action items to stop the suffering. Over the course of a few months, no action items have been completed, let alone attempted. There is blame being cast at every person that is left in their life. And lastly, the slowly stop showing up for their appointments. It's hard to support someone who self identifies as being a life long victim.
There truly are victims out there. I have worked with the sexually assaulted, the sex trafficked and abandoned. People with completely horrific backgrounds. And believe it or not, some of these people carry a brighter disposition than many of us who take a bad day and make it much worse than it really is. We must train ourselves not to over react when we hit the wall. And because this is life, we are all going to hit the wall. The question is, do we stop driving? Or, do we just accept that there will be more walls in the future? I have found that acceptance overrides fear. Because if we fear, life begins to shrink all around us.
Why is it that some people focus while others fold when they hit the wall? It is all about the mindset. I love using the analogy that the greatest baseball players only get on base maybe 30 percent of the time. In other words, they get a hit 3 out of ten times at bat. While some see 30 percent as a failure, others see it as an accomplishment. Mindset. How do you see it?
We're going to have some bad days. We're going to pick some people who are not a good fit for us spirituality and or mentally. Train yourself to outlast the storm. Learn to let those people go who do not inspire you to level up. I promise it doesn't make you a bad person to want more for yourself. Just as you wouldn't purposely carry these bad days with you. Do not carry the uninspired in your inner circle. Because we're going to hit the wall. And when we do, the last person you want to try and lift you up is someone who is a life long victim.

Happiness May Save Your Life

1. Happiness is a habit.
There has been so much reporting of tragedy, hurt, pain, and suffering recently that I have found myself joining in the familiar mantra of gloom misery and despair that friends, colleagues all repeat on a regular basis. It now almost feels obscene to express joy or happiness anymore.
There is no question that very many people are being impacted and affected daily by a variety of pain, sorrow and loss, and compassion must be shown to them. However, there are also many other people who have made complaints and unhappiness the order of the day.
The truth of the matter is that happiness is a state of the mind. You have the freedom to choose happiness; it's as simple as that. The great things of life are usually simple, dynamic and creative.
Begin now to choose happiness. This takes being mindful of a desire to be happy. Reverse the mantra of blame, accusations, condemnations and judgements. Avoid thoughts that are repeated regularly and that systematically sink into the subconscious mind and become habitual. Happiness is a habit.
2. The desire to be happy.
In order to be happy, you must sincerely desire to be happy. There was a time when almost every day when I woke up, I had a kick in my step and a smile on my face. As time progressed, I found that this state was becoming less instinctive and I literarily had to drag my thoughts and demeanour away from what I didn't want to one of joy and happiness.
This is not to say I was or am in denial of whatever challenges of my environment there might be to overcome. I'm simply making a choice in spite of that, to be happy.
There are people who have been depressed, dejected and unhappy for so long that even when something joyful or good happens to them, they have become accustomed to the old mental patterns of unhappiness that they do not feel comfortable being happy. They long for the former depressed unhappy state.
Sometimes people become addicted to the attention (albeit negative) from being miserable and unhappy. There is an expression that 'misery loves company', and there is a pull to bring others into this unholy alliance. There seems to be a peculiar mental, morbid streak in many people, whereby they seem to enjoy being miserable sad and unhappy.
Many people choose unhappiness by entertaining bleak thoughts such as: 'everything is going to go wrong', 'I'm not going to succeed', everyone is against me', 'business is bad and going to get worse', and I never get any breaks'. Having this attitude of mind first thing in the morning will undoubtedly leave you feeling unhappy. Worse still, it leaves you unavailable and unprepared for the opportunities that may come your way that day.
Begin to realize the world you live in is determined largely by what goes on in your mind. The thoughts you habitually entertain in your mind have the tendency to actualize themselves in physical conditions. I am always amazed at how creative and productive I become when I take control of my thoughts and not allow them to run rampant and reckless; during which time I lose the ability to think intelligently.
3. Wealth in and of itself does not make a person happy.
Wealth in and of itself does not make a person happy, though it is also not a deterrent to happiness. Today, there are many people trying to buy happiness through material acquisitions. The key to happiness is in your thoughts and feelings. Too many people have the idea that it takes something artificial to produce happiness, whereas happiness is a mental and spiritual state.
Few of us will get through life without experiencing some episode of anxiety, anger, worry or depression. However, we can all learn to handle difficult emotions, the key is training our minds in compassion. Compassion towards ourselves and other people can help us heal our turbulent minds and enhance your well-being. Compassionate thinking is a skill, much like learning to play an instrument, something that can be enhanced with dedicated practice.
The practice of regulating thoughts and emotions can be useful for those prone to anxiety or depression and learning compassion for other people can help with gaining perspective. When we find compassion for others, in so doing we strengthen our characters and enhance our well-being. Nigeria is a country screaming for compassion for and by its people.
Recognizing that we are all mortal and imperfect and that is part of what we share as a human experience is an important part of compassion. Having compassion for others and ultimately ourselves means we honour and accept our humanness. Things will not always go our way. We will encounter frustrations and loss. We will make mistakes, fall short of our ideals, face big or small challenges and encounter personal failings. Having compassion allows us to be less judgmental of others as well as ourselves.
4. Happiness is the harvest of a quiet mind.
We need to anchor our thoughts on peace, prose, security, and possibly divine guidance. Negative thoughts and emotions sink to our subconscious and cause all kinds of difficulties and maladies in our life. When your attention wanders bring it back to the contemplation of your goals and the good in you. Make a habit of this and subsequently, you discipline your mind. This can be life-affirming.
Learning to adjust our thinking to be more compassionate involves a small but regular commitment to retraining our emotional distress enable us to handle and recover from our stress better. If people can activate their self-soothing system, through generating thoughts and images of kindness, they might be more likely to manage difficult feelings and will be less likely to engage in an unhelpful and destructive behaviour.
You have the freedom to choose a good or bad habit. To form a new habit, you must be convinced that it is desirable. Happiness is desirable!
5. Interpersonal relationship engineer happiness in one's life.
Interpersonal relationships are important and necessary for our continuous existence. Without them, our lives would have virtually no meaning or purpose. An interpersonal relationship provides companionship. No matter how self-reliant you are, you can't be alone or live in isolation.
As humans, we cannot avoid interactions with one another. Relationship with other humans is the most fundamental aspect of our lives because we are innately social, and are shaped by our experiences with others. Whether in the home, at work or any other place, we have acquaintances with people-casual or close-and maintain relationship everywhere we go.
A close association or acquaintance between one or two people that may be brief or enduring is called interpersonal relationship. The association may be based on love, solidarity, regular business interactions, or some other type of social commitment. Interpersonal relationships are formed in different contexts that can vary from marriage, family or kinship relations, friendship, relations with associates, work, neighbourhoods, and places of worship. These contexts account for the different types of interpersonal relationship: marriage, family, friendship, professional etc.

The Secret Life of Dreams

Every night while we are sleeping, our dreams are having their own secret life. Dreams serve many functions which support our waking lives: they allow our mind to sort and file data that has been acquired during the day and to release any emotional tension that has not been processed. Dreams are doorways to the subconscious and help us to see how we really feel about our lives. Our dreams tell us the truth about ourselves. They are an expression of our true sense of our self.
The average adult dreams from three to five times during eight hours of sleep. The dreams occur roughly every 90 to 100 minutes and last from 5 to 30 minutes each. During the dream state, the pathways that carry nerve impulses from the brain to the muscles are blocked. Therefore, the body cannot move while in a dream state. At the same time, the cerebral cortex-the part of the brain involved in higher functions-is extremely active. It is known that the cortex is stimulated by neurons that carry impulses from the brain stem. There is a lot of emotional content in our dreams. Unresolved conflicts, concerns about performance, and feelings about people and situations are played out in the dream world. Dreaming seems to provide a means of releasing tension and anxieties that we unconsciously suppress during our waking lives.
It is much healthier to express the content of the dreams rather than to repress them. In the process of becoming whole, dreams of violence, murder, even death, are all ways in which our subconscious is allowing a milieu of thoughts, feelings and impressions to escape our busy minds. Dreams give us release from our inner conflicts and insight into our personal potential and promise. Dreaming is a process and the dream is a creation produced by our minds to create harmony in our lives.
During our waking life we are always receiving clues and insights from our Inner Self, but we are usually too busy to pay attention. We are too busy, too distracted-too caught in our lives- to hear important messages that come from inside. In our conscious waking life we are not always open to the messages. We may also be unwilling to look at what is really happening with our lives. It is during the dream state that this information is often revealed.
Dreams are also direct routes into our Higher Consciousness/Inner Selves. Dreams may contain the most direct spiritual teaching we can receive. Every dream we have relates directly to some facet of our life. In one sense the dream world is as real as waking, and we are not consciously editing the information. It comes through whether we like it or not, whether we invite it or not. It is important to remember our being is more than just a physical body. Our being contains our spiritual self-our truth, our souls. Our dream world can frequently reveal this to us better than our waking life. Our lives contain lessons for our souls and in some senses the dream world can provide learning experiences that more directly involve our souls. This has a lot to do with the integration of the various aspects of ourselves. Sometimes these parts are cut off from our waking consciousness. By making the separate parts of ourselves one, dreams become an essential step in the process of our becoming whole, healthy people.
Tips for Remembering Dreams...
• Go to bed early... Don't get overtired before going to sleep.
• Review and process your day-clear your mind.
• Keep a Dreamwork journal and writing materials by your bed.
• Lie still when you first wake up, reviewing your dreams.
• Record everything you remember, including how you felt.
• Use your intuition to relate your dreams to your life.
• Discuss your dreams with someone else. In talking about the dream you will remember new things.
IMAGINE YOU ARE IN CHARGE OF YOUR LIFE!
Guess What You Are! There is Magic in Your Mind.
