Do The Things That Empower You

Just as someone can need to eat certain things to function at their best, they can also need to do certain things to be able to feel empowered. As a result of this, if they don't do certain things, they won't be able to feel strong and alive.
However, if someone has felt disempowered for a while or for their whole life, they might not realise this. How they experience life will have just become the norm, meaning that they could be completely consumed by what is taking place
Stepping Back
For this to change, it will be essential for them to mentally detach from what is going on and to reflect on their life. This will allow them to see that there is a reason why they are experiencing life in this way.
If one has felt empowered in the past, it could soon become clear why they have ended up in this position. There could be a number of things that they used to do that they no longer do.
For Example
Many years ago, they may have gone to the gym, spent time with friends, travelled and taken part in other hobbies, for instance. But after something took place in their life, they might have stopped doing these things.
Although it would have seemed as though these were just things that they did, these would have been things that allowed them to feel connected, strong and alive. Therefore, not doing them would have wakened them.
The Reason
As to why they stopped doing certain things, it could be due to a number of reasons. Perhaps one experienced a loss or had a breakup, something that would have had a big impact on them.
What took place would have disrupted them, taking away their desire to do the things that they would have usually done. And, by not doing these things, they would have gradually felt worse over time.
Another Experience
On the other hand, if one has always felt disempowered, there is the chance that they have rarely done things that empower them. For someone like this, they will need to try different things out to be able to see what works for them.
Naturally, this is not going to take place overnight, but it will happen as long as they keep going. If there is something that they have wanted to try for a while, they should give it a go.
Final Thoughts
What this comes down to is that one is an interdependent human being; they are not their own island. So if they don't do the things that they need to do, they will be a watered-down version of themselves.
Consequently, the strength and energy that they need to live a fulfilling life won't be available. Providing one takes the first step and keeps going, they may find that it doesn't take long for their life to change.

Take Care of Yourself FIRST (Tony Robbins, Jim Rohn, Les Brown, Jada Pinkett Smith)

How Do Successful People Even The Millionaire Achieve Their Goals?

Why do so many individuals claim that money isn't really important?
Why exists this idea that desiring money somehow makes you an ill adjusted bad human being? It's such a weird thought pattern don't you think?
And of course is not of the millionaire habits.
Wanting more prosperity and abundance in your life doesn't suggest you're a bad person. It just suggests you want more out of life.
Whatever it is, you simply desire more.
Someone offers you on the concept that you can make tons of good solid income working from home as an independent specialist or supplier for this company or that.
And, it's not that you ever buy into the promise that the business is offering, but you take a leap of faith and give it a shot.
We start small, perhaps $25, 35, 45, or whatever for a book about real estate investing, just for example, or whatever else it might be.
I understand my very first brush with the idea that I could be individually prosperous working from my studio/condo was when I stumbled upon an advertisement in an internet search I 'd done, for how to promote my books that I 'd painstakingly written by hand from a prison cell, where I 'd spent 8 long years.
I landed a mainstream publisher of my books who saw it their mission to get involved with my writing before I was released from the state prison system.
The idea seemed so easy and so low threat I figured why not provide it a try.
Here I am now writing to you about my experiences.
In that time, I've manifested desires and began manifesting love for what I do, and discovered just about everything there is to running an organization and starting of my own.
If you have not caught on to this yet, no matter exactly what the advertisements tell you, no company is as simple or as low-cost as the ad would have you think.
That's okay!
A lot of millionaires end up being millionaires due to millionaire habits, by starting a little organization, conserving their income, and then investing.
Let me state that again, all you have to do to become a millionaire is begin a little company based on the millionaire habits, save, and invest.
What does the millionaire mind think like?
Previously I discussed free e-books and other material online about how no matter what age you are success begins in the mind
Well, many remain in their senior ages and living the exact same type home that you and I reside in, and, they look like us.
They dress like us. They are us.
The only distinction is they have a whole lot more money in the bank because they let their passion in life teach them how to become a self-made millionaire with no money in the beginning.
Here's a truth that I hope will strikes you about the millionaire habits.
There are twice as numerous millionaire small company owners and entrepreneurs than there are millionaire medical professionals or lawyers combined.
If you own a service or you're thinking about checking out some genuine services and business opportunity around your life of purpose and passion, chances you are on the best track.
The Course in Miracles further states, "By giving you receive. To receive is to accept, not to get."
Just stick with it and do not quit!
Remember most millionaires are similar to you and me, they're entrepreneurs who have learned the millionaire habits and ingrained that into their psyche.
The millionaire mind knows how to be the dreamer of life in this world while creating the dream characters.

A New Year and a Positive New You

Certain times of the year can prompt us to review our lives. It may be a new year, an anniversary, a significant birthday that motivates us to pause awhile and reflect on where we are, on what we've done with our lives and what we'd like our next steps to be.
For some this could be a pleasurable few moments of reflection. We've achieved much of what we aimed for, have good relationships, lovely children, a successful career, good quality of life and we can smile, feeling proud and content.
But for others this reflection can result in an, 'is this it?' response, followed by perhaps feeling stuck in a rut, trapped by circumstances and unsure what next steps might be available. A variety of constraints and limitations, fear of rocking the boat and the potential impact of changes may immediately stop further thoughts. Daily life often means we have too much on with work, balancing our finances, the responsibilities of children and family as well as maybe religious concerns to prompt further investigation.
Postponing any changes for several years may seem to be the only possible course of action, but dedicating time to thoroughly considering our situation may raise other possibilities, rather than simply becoming resigned to saying, 'I'll wait till the children are older', or suchlike.
A new year can bring a new you who assesses life by not only acknowledging what's happening as well as what's not happening and then reviews ways to improve the situation. Taking ownership, exploring possible steps, how to move on, where to start can be a valuable outcome from a break or retreat.
Everyday life rarely allows enough time to devote to serious 'meaning of life' considerations. There's scarcely time to breathe, let alone explore different options, decide it's time to leave an unsatisfactory relationship, walk away from a well-paying job or move to the countryside and become self-sufficient! Any musings will frequently be interrupted because the laundry basket needs attention, it's time to log onto the laptop or go and collect the children.
So creating an opportunity and booking a few days away for a weekend break or retreat can be an important commitment to yourself. Setting aside time to grieve, recover from a breakup, heal after a change in circumstances or have some space after a hectic time or period of illness provides an interlude for reflection. Are we at a crossroads, what direction should we now head in? Finding answers to these questions can be a valuable investment of a few days on a retreat.
Simply providing yourself with an opportunity for reflection on possible changes and adjustments can help to improve your perspective and doesn't automatically necessitate major upheaval. Afterwards you may find you return to your day-to-day life with a calmer, healthier attitude, feeling settled and in a better place. A retreat can offer space for you to positively readjust your viewpoint and become more flexible and tolerant. Gaining insights helps you feel better able to introduce minor changes that make life more pleasant for everyone.
An individual retreat often gives you time to dedicate to your physical and mental health and wellbeing, to focus on specific issues and concerns, perhaps through individual sessions which address nutrition, health and wellbeing. Personalised yoga, massage, fitness classes as well as counselling, hypnotherapy and coaching are all available.
A group retreat dedicates time to discussions and workshops, exploring with others ways to handle wider-reaching concerns, like stress, post-divorce, assertiveness, as each attendee is invited to share their coping strategies. It can be a positive start to discover that other people have similar problems in their lives.
Taking that first step is often the most significant decision of all. Determining that something needs to change and finding ways to implement some or even all can be a wonderful start to a great new year and a positive new you.

Are Your Sales Results Not Living Up To Your Expectations? There Are Five Basic Reasons

There are many reasons why sales effort, a lot of time, allocation of many resources, planning and so much more can still lead to slow and even poor sales results. Having been observing and teaching sales strategies and practices around the world for over thirty-five years and witnessing numerous stupid as well as genius tactics used by individuals and organizations I believe there are five basic reasons why sales decline or are in a slump regardless of the economy, industry, consumer desires, and competitive philosophies, etc.
Many sales trainers and sales experts might suggest that it's just poor execution of Sales 101 - prospecting skills, poor presentation skills or the inability to effectively disarm objections and close sales. Although all of these traditional sales methodologies are important, I believe that even if you have all of these and lack the following five you will never achieve sustained increased sales results and income. I'll keep this simple.
Here are the five reasons -
-A lack of consistent execution of a proven process.
-Reliance on a single marketing approach.
-Poor product/service messaging.
-Over or underuse of specific communication techniques.
-A lack of execution integrity.
-A lack of consistent execution of a proven process.
To achieve sustained and lasting success a process is required. It doesn't matter if it's cooking in the kitchen, operating in the hospital or building on a construction site. Wherever you see success I will guarantee there is a process that is consistently being followed to ensure positive results.
The sales process is no different. If one minute you are selling this way and the next minute you are selling differently - I will guarantee you will get inconsistent results. Let me give you a quick example.
Let's say you have a prospect who needs and wants your product or service and you have been trained to sell it a certain way. But you have decided because this person seems more available or affinitive to you - you decide to adjust your approach and get a bit more friendly than normal, open or whatever - as a result, you create a different sales environment that deviates from your standard approach - one you are unfamiliar with and one the prospect may feel is a bit forward. You have abandoned your process. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you shouldn't tailor your sales message to the style or interests of each prospect, what I'm saying is if and when you abandoned proven sales techniques, strategies, and approaches for something new or different you will get less than historical proven positive outcomes.
I'm not implying that any or all processes are successful or the best approach or that any process should not be open to change, improvement and updating. And, I don't want my heart surgeon sticking with the process when it's his or her instincts to adjust or adapt but I do want them to stick with protocols when situations or circumstances warrant it.
If you don't have and stick with a proven sales process, I will guarantee you live with a great deal of frustration, uncertainty, unknowns, disappointment and even regret from time to time.
-Reliance on a single marketing approach.
Yes, you need a website if you want to succeed and compete. Yes, you need to do Public Relations from time to time. Yes, advertising can help your sales efforts. Yes, emails are necessary occasionally and yes, you also need to pick up the phone once in a while. Get it - You need a successful blending process when it comes to marketing and its support and endorsement of your sales efforts.
When sales efforts rely on a single marketing approach, they will achieve fewer positive responses. When sales activity is not foreshadowed with some market exposure or not supported by follow-up activity you are relying only on the efforts of the sales effort. To get better and more consistent positive results from any sales actions it is a wise move to have both pre and post-sales activity that reinforces the basic fundamental sales message and customer benefits. Think about it - if salesperson A shows up for an appointment to sell - whatever - and the prospect has never heard of his or her organization or product or service - they have got a lot of work to do. When salesperson B shows up for their appointment and the prospect viewed one billboard, heard one radio ad and read one ad on a website they were searching prior to the sales meeting - which of the two appointments do you think will tend to have a better chance of success?
-Poor product/service messaging.
Have you ever watched a product or service commercial and when it was finished you were shaking your head thinking - "what was that all about?" Well, I have - almost every day. I'm not sure how some of these stupid ads make it past management but someone needs to wake them up- they are stupid and don't do the product or service justice. No, I'm not going to site-specific examples as I'm sure you have seen, read or heard your share of them. I just want to point out that if your messaging is confusing, contradictory or can be perceived or interpreted as negative or derogatory in any way it will not contribute to your sales success in any way.
-Over or underuse of specific communication techniques.
Technology wants us to believe that the only way to sell to people today is with social media, emails or the latest Techno Whiz. Yes, these are important and can often be an integral part of lifestyle today but let me assure you "word of mouth" has not lost its impact on the buying public or process. When the average customer has a negative product or service experience, research tells us - they will, on average, tell 9 people. And, those 9 people on average will tell five people and this process just continues on and on - so let me ask you how many people over time do you think will get that negative message and how much money do you need to spend on promotion and advertising to counteract this negative exposure?
Just ask any organization that has lost customers, market share, and even gone belly-up due to negative press and I'm not talking about "fake news" and in hindsight, they will admit they failed to anticipate the negative consequences due to this negative experience.
If you think you are going to hit a home run every time with a campaign of a new product or service relying only on your investment in technology exposure - you are living in "fantasy Land". I can hear some of you now, "NO, Tim you are living in "Denial-Land" and just don't get it - how people are buying today." OK, you are not listening - I didn't say you didn't need to use these media sources to improve sales, I said you need to not rely ONLY on them.
-A lack of execution integrity.
Talk is cheap today. People seem to throw commitments, promises and so many other things at customers, clients, friends, and even family members that in some ways they hope will happen, but are never 100% sure they will. Ever left a message for a supplier who said they would get back to you in 24 hours and after a week, you still hadn't heard from them? Ever have someone tell you they will meet you for; lunch, a meeting, coffee at a certain time and twenty minutes later they finally showed up? Ever been promised a refund by a supplier who said it would only take 24 hours and after a few days you are still waiting? Enough examples - I could give you thousands. The common thread in all of them is a lack of integrity. There are far too many reasons and contributors to this issue in today's sales (and general relationship) environment so let me just cover one simple concept - does this lack of consistency, integrity or commitment in your opinion, contribute to; poor customer loyalty, poor customer relations, poor repeat business, poor references and/or referrals, poor word of mouth and just a poor reputation in general?
If you want to avoid any of these "poor" issues (outcomes, results, consequences) - it's simple - here are five things to consider (yes there are many more) - 1) start meaning what you say and saying what you mean. 2)Stop making excuses - just do it. 3)If you can't do it or are not sure whether it will happen - don't promise it. 4)If circumstances that are beyond your control cause a promise or commitment to not be delivered - fix it quickly. And 5) Learn from your communication mistakes. Stop repeating the same stupid behaviors that are doing nothing to improve your image and sales results whether as an individual or an organization!

Why People Fear Success

YouTube seems to be the go to place these days for people seeking overnight fame. A lot of people mistake being infamous for being famous. They are two drastically different things. Yet very few of the ones who decide to jump on YouTube appear to have any real talent.
So why aren't the talented people seeking out this platform to showcase their talents?
For many the reasons truly vary. Are they filled with apprehension about achieving success?
Have you look at a YouTube video and noticed the thumbs up and thumbs down icon beneath the video?
Well, some people are really positive and then there are the negative Nancys. Putting yourself out there requires thick skin. If you are like me, then it is relatively easy to tell the haters to go jump off a bridge somewhere. Which raises the question, "Where did all these unhealthy personalities in society come from anyway?"
Most of the haters are products of poor parenting and an uncultured environment of upbringing, raised in the current psychologically pathological society where they socially conform to a social trend of haters. Before all the incompetent parents failed this generation, a few decades ago people with such toxic attitudes appropriately became social outcasts, and if their behavior failed to remit, they appropriately became the subject of therapeutic interventions such as corrective physical assaults. They are often found to be facing the fearful component of two things: A degree of discomfort with success, and envy.
To revisit the initial point of why otherwise talented people refrain from pushing as hard as they otherwise could, YouTube is only used as a reference point.
People get comfortable in their own skin. Most people worry about social acceptance and being liked, and the idea of climbing up the ladder ahead of their peers, co-workers, friends and family, is something that unconsciously alarms and induces internal conflict in them, inducing a level of anxiety and ambivalence that keeps them from moving forward.
The fear that a stand-up comedian encounters before or during their stage performance is very different from what someone who is afraid of success encounters.
In a relative sense, the two can be synonymous in that they both may have a fear of rejection. The comedian's fears may arise from a place of being heckled on stage, and Joe Brown may fear that his singing abilities may not be very well appreciated. Either way, both parties are fearful of rejection in their own way.
On the other hand, the comedian's fear of being heckled may differ from Joe's fear of facing his competition, being envied and hated by everyone he knows, including those who does not even know.
People are not always happy for the success of others, so much to the point where they become malevolent.
As a former model, 5'8", I can tell you that women can be exasperatingly unpleasant. Being a senior in high school, I recalled one morning the school's principal at the time announced that Althea Laing, a very famous Jamaican fashion model, was scouting for aspiring models and those who were interested in a modeling career should go see her at the designated area.
Naturally this was right up my alley, so on I went. I recall standing at the designated waiting area where the fashion mogul would appear, when all of a sudden my "best friend" at the time came out of nowhere.
Now puzzled why she was there, my curiosity lead me to direct my inquiry of her. Her response was, "I am interested in becoming a model too." The look on my face was a ghastly thing to see.
Yes, at this point you are wondering what is the issue or maybe you have already figured it out. Do you know someone like that? Hence the long lived adage of keeping up with the joneses.
This little midget had never expressed any interest in being a model. She saw my opportunity, and in the glimpse of the moment, abandoned all aspirations to become a history teacher.
I referenced her as the little midget, as this girl was doubtfully 4ft tall, and no I am not expanding here either, she was that short.
For the record, there is nothing wrong with short people, but that bears resemblance to my waking up one day and deciding that my friend that I don't have by choice, wants to be a singer, so that is my calling as well.
There are a lot of things about me. Singing is certainly not one of them. Or I could tell you about a certain cousin of mine, that converted her whole life to cater to the field of nursing as a result of my expressed interests in that arena.
What am I saying people? You are obliged to live your life for you, and pursue your dreams. Embracing the tendency to shy away from success in view of others and their remarks, envy, or reactions, is doing a disservice to yourself.
It starts with finding your self-worth and placing an immeasurable value on yourself. Believing that you are worthy and deserving of success.
According to recent studies, fearing success is a very real condition, one that has the existing possibility to cause you to become infirm.
Have you ever experienced shakiness, sweaty palms, during or before a really important job interview?
That is as a result of the physiological changes that you are experiencing due to the nature of your anxiety level.
Actors often utilize breathing exercises, or in some cases yoga. These are not bad alternatives, in fact they are very effective.
One of my favorite jokes is by the great Les Brown, nationally renowned speaker, who said in one of his speeches he had moments where he stood up and his mind sat down. This cracks me up every time, but it is a reality; it does happen.
Success in its own right is very subjective. However, whatever that is for you, it is vital to know that your fear is very real and more common than you think.
With that being said, in the end, the ball is in your court and how the game ends is ultimately up to you.
Success does not happen by accident, but by our hard work, persistence, and the choices we make.
And once you have achieved success, in order to keep being successful, you must recognize the hard work and skills that brought you to your level of success.
A good way to do this is to journal your journey along the way. This helps put things into perspective and keeps you honest and accountable for your success.
You are probably producing a thousand and one different thoughts as to why you wouldn't feel internally successful. This is because there are actually people who chalk up their success to pure luck.
They experience an inability to internalize their accomplishments. They feel as though they are frauds and are not deserving of the success that they have achieved. This is a condition known as the imposter syndrome.
The signs and symptoms present differently. To provide a picture of what this looks like:
• Exhibiting habits of over-perfectionism.
• Overworking oneself
• The person tends to undermine their achievements
• They do not receive being praised very well, or tend to downplay it.
People experiencing this syndrome often will have a mindset that failing is not an option, or as aforementioned, their success is merely by luck.
"I have written 11 books, but each time I think, 'Uh oh, they're going to find out now. I've run a game on everybody, and they're going to find me out'" -Maya Angelou
Do not read this and self-diagnose; rather, if you or someone you know experiences any of the above, rest assured that it can be overcome, without seeking help from a professional.
In the interim, believe in yourself and your abilities. Self-worth and success will be yours with hard work and persistence.
Do me a favor. I want you to adopt a 30-day ritual. Every day of these 30 days, look in the mirror, and say out loud, "I am worthy and deserving of success; I am going to make it."
If it takes you longer than this exercise period to believe it, that is perfectly fine too. The important thing is that you are fully engaged in your own personal development, and that you make a commitment to yourself to honor this daily, and stay committed.
Change your life today, no more holding back, go for your dreams!
