Cleaning And Thinking (The Best Action Article You Will Ever Read)

When things get stagnant, there is a reorganization needed. With that said, I begin this article. When your thinking, acting and doing reach an impasse, something needs to happen. That something is growth. Are you surprised or shocked at my basic answer? Sometimes growth is the most painful action we can take, conscious or unconscious, but it is needed, always needed if we want to better ourselves or get to a better place. I mean, face it, when we "make it" and are "too content", that is when growth really needs and wants to happen (in that order).
Sure, the above paragraph was rather bluntly real from beginning to end. Sometimes, though, a "big time kick in the pants is needed" for us all to get going and take necessary actions, metaphysical or physical.
Growth! Sure, sometimes "out with the old and in with the new" has love or hate connotations with us in life, but rest assured, in reality growth and change are laws in life, not options right down to multi millennial old growing redwood trees burning down and new forests growing in their place or stagnant societies getting replaced with something that needs (and sometimes wants) to happen.
Lethargy, stagnation, spoiled realities, "comfortable apathy" and sickening decadence, those only happen when growth is genuinely stopped. After all, when you stop thinking and let "others take over", what do you think or ponder that I am talking about. "Once retirement happens, death of some sort is around the corner" is said by so many people who understand while those who do not understand genuinely say those horrible words, "I want to retire and go on to something easier."
So, I end with an example of this of my own: When I was in Junior High School/Middle School in the seventh and eighth grades, I took a basic math class, because I had already taken Statistics, Advanced Calculus, Calculus, Algebra II, Algebra, Geometry and Advanced Fractions (in reverse order from beginning to end, Advanced Fractions all the way up to Advanced Statistical Analysis Math) in the fifth grade and passed with flying colors and "A plus" grades at the private school I was going to before I went to middle school. Near the end of the year, I realized the meaning of "I want to retire from a challenge and go on to something easier" in the worst way. Nothing is worse than a mind that is not growing and does not work to grow productively, nothing is worse than, in a word: Stagnation. Worse than that word is these two words: Decadent stagnation. When things get stagnant, there is a reorganization needed, and decadent comfort and sickening stability or lethargy do not help. Are you ready to go down or grow up now?

5 Simple Tips to Become More Self-Confident

A lack of self-confidence is one of the biggest obstacles to reaching your goals and pursuing your passions and purpose. Each time you put yourself out to the world, it feels like a risk. But unless you do take that risk, you don't allow yourself to make your dreams a reality.
Self-confidence is a feeling of trust in your abilities, qualities and judgement. So, how do you build that trust in yourself?
1. Get in touch with how you feel when you're not confident. It can feel like anxiety, nervousness, fearfulness, worry or simply feeling resistant to taking an action.
Once you're clear on how it feels when you lack confidence, you want to shift into a better feeling place. Using our trusty law of attraction processes can come in handy here. Pre-paving is a process that allows you to rehearse a situation before it happens.
Pre-paving is simply feeling and thinking of everything going your way before an event occurs.
So, before publishing that novel, giving a presentation, going on a job interview or any situation where you want to feel confident, pre-pave by thinking of all the good things that you want to occur. Practice "skipping to the end" and getting in touch with how you expect to feel with everything working out for you. See in your mind's eye the events, people, and outcomes you want. Imagine yourself standing tall, feeling confident. See people smiling and nodding. Imagine yourself very relaxed and clear minded. Imagine the feeling of satisfaction you have with a happy outcome. The idea is to do a mental rehearsal that feels really good to you. Have fun and play with this!
2. Stop comparing yourself to others. You are a unique individual with your own contributions to make and your own timetable. Own that thought! Even if you think others are more accomplished than you, don't sell yourself short. I've been in several situations where I thought I was in over my head and others were better than me only to find out my contributions were deeply appreciated. You have your own style and it will resonate with your "tribe."
3. Pay attention to your thoughts. How much negative self-talk is going in your head? Shift your focus to what you DO like about yourself. What skills, talents or qualities do you have that you are proud of? Make a list of them and refer to it often. Remember you are a work in progress, so forgive any mistakes, look at what you learned from them and be proud of your growth.
4. Deliberately shift your thinking away from questions that drain confidence to questions that empower you. Instead of, "Why do I always feel this way?" try "How would I like to feel?" Instead of "Why does this always happen to me?" ask "What do I have to learn from this situation?"
5. Think back to times when you have felt confident. Even if you have to go way back in your history, there is a time when you felt confident. Bring that feeling of confidence into your body and practice it. If you really can't remember a time of feeling confident, imagine what confidence feels like and practice that.
You can train yourself to be more confident. Take small steps that are just outside of your comfort zone. You'll soon get the feedback that you can do and be more than you thought.

Why Our Thoughts Are the Most Dangerous Thing About Us

I THINK, therefore I am, said enlightenment thinker René Descartes. In at least one sense that's profoundly true. Our unconscious thoughts and our unguarded conscious thinking are attributable for the mental maladies we possess, rippling out into our feeling states that can send our emotional wellbeing into a world of turmoil.
Proverbs 4:23 says we ought to guard our hearts, for it's from there that our lives spring.
Everything we are, all we do, and everything we become seems to stem from our thinking. It is the absolute source of who we are. Our thinking drives our feelings.
Some of the dangerous patterns of thought we enter into include; either/or thinking (if one is right, the other must be wrong); destructive thinking ("I'm useless, no-good, idiotic, worthless, helpless... "); narcissistic thinking ("I'm too good, look at me, and worth more than anyone... "); and, conspiracy thinking ("I don't trust anyone... ")
Thinking is powerful because it leads us to take actions in accordance with how we feel. There are dangers in acting out of thoughts that are untrue. The fact is we're bombarded by unhelpful thoughts all the time. Thinking is only an ally for us where it leads us to act according to the truth.
A good response to dangerous thought patterns is become aware of them, and then, with intent, decide to change our minds, or to literally repent, or turn from that thinking.
So, the AA plan kicks in. First, we must become aware of our thoughts, auditing them to determine if they're destructive or not. Second, we can then choose to act on our awareness to conform not to the patterns of worldly thinking, but to renew our minds.
